When was the last time you sent a random letter to your grandma? This is a perfect family activity for a Sunday morning or afternoon.
Let your grandmother know all the ways she has influenced and enriched your life. Did she teach you to love books, gardening or baking? Did she make a delicious potato casserole that melted in your mouth? Did her home smell like freshly baked rolls? Did she smell of a particular perfume? Was there an outfit that always made her look beautiful to you? Did she have a habitual saying that made you feel special, like, “Hello there gorgeous.” Is there something about her physical appearance that you love…her blue eyes, her curly hair, her hands or the way she walks or talks? Is there a talent that you admire of hers? Is there a personality trait that you would hope you could have? Is there something you are working on that was inspired by her? LET HER KNOW! Tell her all these special things you love about her. She will treasure your letter.
