Thinking Thursday: Remember the Date

   Right now is the perfect time to get a 2013 calendar-- You only lose a few days use, and they're all significantly marked down. I picked out a Pixar picture-a-day calendar for a few bucks. Part of Elsie's morning routine is tearing off yesterday's picture, and excitedly finding out who will be on today's picture. She squealed when she saw Nemo.
   If you have older children, you could buy a calendar with fun facts, or you could get one with exotic places, and the kids could guess where each day's place is. It also gives them a place to look if they have forgotten the date while doing homework. I think it's a fun little addition that kids will look forward to. Plus... it will teach them patience to only pull one off a day!
