I always love to start the new year out with reflection and looking forward to the new year. This printable is from 30 handmade days, and is a perfect way to prompt your children to think about 2012 and 2013. Make a night activity of it-- sitting around the table talking, writing, and munching on a treat.
I would like to get a little more specific with each child and document their abilities in a talent of their choosing. You could film them playing a musical instrument or sport, have them make a picture or sew something..... You get the idea. Keep that documentation and compare it to their ability next year. Children love to see how they have grown and improved.
I am going to sit down with Elsie and have her draw me a picture. (She is loving drawing flocks of balloons right now.)
