Want a simple way to pick up toys fast?
1- Buy a special funky kitchen timer. I’ve seen all different shapes and sizes of them: cows, lady bugs, owls, red, blue, green, purple…anything you can imagine!
2- Give your timer a name like “Owen the Owl”
3- When the time has come to clean up, in your best announcer’s voice say, “It’s time to TAKE TEN with Owen the Owl!”
4- Let the children know that Owen will be set to ring in 10 minutes and you want to see how many toys can be put away before the bell goes off.
5- Set Owen and away you go.It worked for me. I hope it WORKS for you too!
